The client, Project Didi Australia, is a non-for-profit organisation that supports women in Nepal who have been victims of trafficking and gender-based violence. As part of a university assessment, the brief was to design a fundraising pack for their Nepal trip participants who are raising funds for their cause. This guide is a fun and easy to use interactive PDF that informs and inspires volunteers with fundraising tips and ideas. It has been designed to be both fun to use as an interactive pdf whilst also still being accessible for those who prefer to print it out.
Working as part of a design team, I learnt key skills of teamwork, communication, and organisation to help create this successful design. Being able to communicate with each other and the client was integral in ensuring everyone had a key role in the project. My contributions included concept development, layout design, UI, and copywriting of the fifty-page publication. In addition to the publication, social media assets were created for Instagram posts and stories for the Nepal trip participants to use.
To make the publication both fun and informative, the concept of an interactive map with areas designated according to specific interests was developed with the goal of making it as accessible as possible.
In order to make the publication more accessible and easy to use, a navigation bar was designed where users can click to their desired content. The goal is to make the publication seem less overwhelming and intimidating as well as to accommodate to the needs of readers who are short on time by enabling them to pick and choose parts they would like to read.
Social media assets and templates were designed for users of the Nepal trip to post to their social media accounts as a method of fundraising for their trip. A simple template where the client can insert their own message or image was designed in addition to countdown posts that counts the days down until the user embarks on their trip to Nepal.
